Karen's Award Winning Chili


INGREDIENTS:

2 lbs. ground chuck
1 lb. suet (optional)
2 envelopes Chili Man Chili Seasoning Mix
1 16 ounce can of tomato sauce
1 15 or 16 ounce can of red kidney beans (optional)
3/4 cup of beer
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 to 2 onions chopped
1 cup water

Brown suet in a large stock pot. Brown ground chuck in a separate fry pan. (Do not drain.) Add to the stock pot. Add remaining ingredients to the suet and ground chuck. Simmer on low heat for 2 - 3 hours.

I always add additional Mexican chili powder and a slight bit of garlic salt to suit my own particular taste. You may find that the chili seasoning envelope is enough for you. This chili will get thick the longer you cook it. You may need to add additional water.
