Kentucky Bourbon Backwoods Chili
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 15 oz cans peeled diced tomato
2 15 oz cans dark red kidney beans (with liquid)
1 Brooks Chili Hot Beans
1 14 oz can tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
2 cups onion chopped fine
4 red peppers chopped fine
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper hot sauce (Louisiana)
4 Tbs. Brown Sugar
salt as needed
8 Tbs. Chili Powder
1 Chili Man Seasoning Mix
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
2 Tbs. black pepper
water as needed
1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
1 cup of suet or own preference
Prep: Brown and drain beef, combine all ingredients, cover and bring to a boil on low heat (important), a crock pot works well for this. Lower heat and simmer for at least 2 hrs. serve with saltines, garlic toast or French bread. Enjoy.
